We arose in the forest, dew like jewels upon pillows of moss. Unseen trickling in the dark beneath the covers.. Fallen leaves curling and lilting into roots curving up into great trunks.
We feared the wolf too vivid, the pointed cold. We feared for our place in eternity. And pulled down the forest, arranging all around us, centered and safe. We pulled and pulled, a little safer, a little warmer. Earthly cathedrals crumbling into a cloud of dust. Eroding into great sweeping sandstorms. So many little bits, coursing on the currents. Cubes of sugar, leopards in a cage, stacks of letters, timber of teak, bars of silver. Oud accompanying erhu, kimono mingled with kilt. Furriers to the North, warriors South, traders East.
We rose into a murmuration, mating season of pattern meets pattern. Information ground smaller, dispersing further. Liquified assets, molten churn. All meeting all, in the albums, in the encyclopedias, in the zoos, in the auctions. We skim the end credits, fossil record rising before the curtain, lit by ancient lamp oil. Our life flashing before our eyes, as one age closes into the next.
In the gravity of all meeting all, our center broke through into a pure open heart. Inalienable center, a purity that has no counter and no end. And we release creation, from each heart axil, into crystalline radiance.
